Hello everyone, happy Advent. I can’t believe it’s another liturgical year we’re beginning. As I look back, it’s crazy how this past year has flown and how many things have been occurring in my life and in my ministry that I am so grateful to God for—including all of YOU! I cannot thank you enough! You have been amazing spiritual companions and for those of you who have introduced me into your parishes, events, conferences also to lead retreats, etc. I cannot thank you enough and for your prayers because I know a lot of you are out there praying for me.

And I’m honestly looking at Advent as a big prayerful opportunity for me because I need to discern what is going on with these awesome opportunities that are coming my way. I am really looking forward to going deep this season with God.

I’m also pretty busy this December. I’m recording a couple of programs with Shalom World TV. The first one is ‘Jesus, My Savior,’ where I will share my conversion story. We’re filming that next week and then the second one is ‘Book’d’ and that is a book review show we will film the week after. I’m also working on a 40-day prayer challenge online video course that is really a result of YOU. Those who came up to me after some of my speaking events, asking me how do I deepen my prayer life with God? How do I hear what He wants me to do? How do I see Him in action throughout the day? So I’m creating this course because of you. I’m also working on a God Story workshop where you can design, refine and deliver the most impactful, God story to those you love to inspire some action. It’s an interesting perspective—storytelling is an art and a science and there’s a little bit of marketing and selling involved. So I leverage all of that to help you craft the most impactful story that you possibly can!

That is a lot for December …

So I am not going to be coming to you through the video for the month of December. I will send you emaIls though because I want to keep you updated and share how Advent and my ministry is shaping up. I am hoping that I will have a clarity for January and in the year 2019. I’m super excited to see what is going to happen because I think there are some new horizons that are coming my way.

When I look back, I remember this time last year … I talked to my husband and asked him, “Hey, do you have any issues with me leaving my executive career and following this passion I have to introduce everybody to Jesus and to deepen their relationship with God and faith?” And he gave me his YES. And so off we went! And Jeff, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support, your love, your advice and—even your creativity. I remember times when I was like, “What do you think this?” and he was like, “Well, why don’t you just do that?” Surprisingly, I would say, “Wow, I didn’t think of that!” He’s been fabulous. I can’t even tell you.

So here I go into my new world and I am scared to death. I don’t know how to write a book, edit a book, format a book, publish a book, design the cover, etc. What about the content—what do you put where? How do you grab people with a website? What’s the messaging? How do you design it, set it up, host it? Oh, let’s not forget social media. I’m clueless about social media. All the creative stuff that goes along with that, the editing of these videos, all of that is wrapped up in one Godsend! One person and that is Angie Mroczka and I want to thank you, Angie. You’ve been with me every step of the way and you have managed to keep on top of it while having a full-time job, a son, a husband, and all that life has to throw your way. A lot of things that have happened to you over this last year and yet you are still here with me and for me and I’m so grateful for you. Thank you, God, for Angie and all of you.

I am also so grateful for your prayers and your support. I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings!

I think creating a book, getting out there on the speaking circuit, talking at events and conferences, being a columnist with Catholic Stand, and writing Carpeverbum reflections every month has just been amazing.

I would like to thank all of the radio, podcast and other promotion companies and media that have assisted me along the way like Relevant Radio, Catholic Vitamins, Off the Shelf—Breadbox Media, Young Catholics Respond. The list goes on and on—I mean really, there’s so much that I can’t say enough to say thank you for getting the word out.

So let’s REALLY focus on Advent this year. It’s not about the gifts, it’s not about the decor and the craziness. It’s about CHRIST. Christ-Mass = Christmas. He’s the reason for the season. That’s all. Take some time and deepen your relationship with God. Go deep, go deep this Advent.
