Resolutions

Did You Choose the Easy or Hard Resolution?

For the first 42 years of my life, I battled my weight and spent most of my time comparing my personal, physical and professional self with everyone on the planet.

I bought into what this culture told me was happiness, success, and beauty. And, of course, I came up short every time—I was never good enough, smart enough, thin enough, educated enough, pretty enough.

Never, never, never.

Every year, when I eventually fell off the diet and exercise wagon, I threw up my arms and said, “Enough, I do not have the willpower to do this! I am a failure … again … now, where is that chocolate bar?”

That, my friends, is the EASY resolution and one that isn’t exactly the most selfless one on the planet if you ask me.

Back in 2013, I fell back into my faith, and my relationship with God has transformed my life in so many ways since He found me. I know what it is like to live in full communion with God, have a deep connection with Him, and also what it is like not to live with Him!

I have learned, the hard way, that life is filled with ups and downs, anxieties, stress and worries and the ONLY way I can live with peace, joy, and love are if I give it all to God and trust in His providence.

Now THAT is the HARD resolution—RENEWAL!

Deepening my relationship with God and humbling myself to pick myself back up and keep going to Him every day—especially when I fall. It is something I will have to do every single day of my life. It isn’t a resolution wagon to fall off of—it is the only way to live the sweetest life imaginable and in God’s graces.

Who doesn’t want THAT?

And the selfless benefits are to everyone who encounters you and sees your joy, your peace and compassion for the world as you become more in love with Jesus and how you should live your life.

This resolution will not only change YOUR life but can change others and therefore impact the world.

Think about it—how much better would this world be if we love as God loves?

So, how is your spiritual life? Are you like I was for 42 years and don’t have time for God ‘cuz you are chasing the almighty dollar, juggling a family and still finding your life full of stress and sleepless nights? Or maybe you have a spiritual life but want to deepen it, put a little more structure around it or just shake it up a bit?

Well, I have two things for you:

  1. Here is a FREE resource guide for you that helped me in my early faith journey of movies, CD, DVD, radio, podcasts, etc.
  2. Check this out—an online prayer program I developed because people would ask me after my speaking events, “How do I deepen my prayer life and hear and see God throughout my day?” After much prayer, I put this together for all of you who asked this question and for those who will ask me in the future.

Make 2019 a year for RENEWAL!

Let’s overhaul our souls and deepen our lives with God and Faith—TOGETHER! Life is a journey, and it is not meant to be walked alone—especially the spiritual journey!

Have a blessed and inspired day!
